Aliases / Titles: Border-warden of Vanaheim (former post), Asgardian Warrior / Mercenary
Affiliation/Team: Asgardian military / mercenary-for-hire (formerly stationed on the Vanaheim border)
Role in Group: Heavy-hitter / seasoned warrior; occasional protector/escort; potential guardian to the twins
Einarr is an experienced Asgardian warrior who spent the last several years posted on the border of Vanaheim keeping the peace. He boasts a practical, battle-hardened résumé: frost giants on Jotunheim, trolls in Nidavellir, a run-in with a dragon, and he’s even sparred with Thor himself. He met Gwen at an Asgardian party five years ago and showed interest then, but she chose to spend the evening with Loki. Five years later, now that Gwen is married to Loki and raising twins in Asgard, Einarr returns from his posting. He sees Gwen training again and, intrigued and still flirtatious, challenges her to a spar. He is drawn to her—her skill, stubbornness and lack of pretension—and is willing to stake his honor on protecting her family when she asks him to.
Strengths
Fiercely loyal once he gives his word; considers himself “loyal as a wolf.”
Brave, confident, and direct—excellent in a crisis.
Charming in a roguish, self-assured way; quick with teasing banter.
Practical and straightforward; respects competence and strength.
Flaws
Impulsive and occasionally reckless; loves a challenge.
Shameless flirt—will speak or act before thinking about political fallout.
Prideful; can be dismissive of subtle social politics.
His bluntness and bravado can irritate or worry those who prefer subtlety (Loki, court officials).
Habits / Quirks
Likes to punctuate a victory or wager with a drink and a boast.
Tends to test people physically (sparring invitation, playful roughhousing).
Has a theatrical grin and a habit of slapping a friend/ally on the backside in triumph.
Asgardian Physiology: Enhanced strength, stamina, durability, and healing above Midgardian baseline.
Exceptional Weapon Mastery: Skilled with swords, axes, spear, and bows; practiced in battlefield tactics.
Veteran Combatant: Experience fighting frost giants, trolls, and larger beasts; able to read opponents and adapt.
Tactical Fieldcraft: Years on border duty give him tracking, patrol command, and survival skills in hostile realms.
Intimidation & Presence: He can silence a room with his aura and is effective as a deterrent guardian.
Basic Leadership: Knows how to command smaller parties and lead skirmishes; not a court politician.
Build: Very large and broad-chested—he’s a head taller than many, with rippling arms and a powerful frame.
Face/Hair: Full beard; ruggedly handsome, with warm, amused eyes.
Scars / Marks: Some battle scars. Small runic tattoo / heraldic mark of his station.
Style / Armor: Practical, heavy leather/chain layered armor for mobility; favors earth/metal tones. Keeps a cloak for travel and a favored battle sword at his hip. Off-duty, he’s still big and imposing—simple tunics, boots, and a grizzled charm.
Manner: Confident, unhurried gait; carries himself like someone who expects to win.
Protector vs. Rival: Einarr is the kind of man who can credibly protect Gwen and the twins—his strength and devotion make him an attractive candidate—but that same devotion creates obvious tension with Loki. Loki sees him as a threat (reckless, flirtatious, arrogant), while Gwen sees him as trustworthy and practical.
Court Politics: His bluntness and irreverence make him popular with some and problematic with the court; he can alienate allies despite doing the job well.
Redemption & Growth Hooks: Could be tested to prove his loyalty beyond words—standing against political scorn or actively defending the family in a crisis. Could develop into an honored, stabilized role (trusted guardian), or a tragic foil if his pride leads to reckless choices.
Soft Spot: Despite bravado, he respects authenticity; Gwen’s skill, lack of airs, and kindness earn his genuine protection.
“I’ve made a lot of mistakes and my mouth gets me in trouble—yet I’m loyal. Loyal as a wolf. I’d protect those two with my life, if you trust me with them.”
(With a roguish grin) “You think I’d let myself go just because I’m not on the front lines? Please. I’ll still be running circles around every warrior in Asgard by next winter.”
(Teasing) “Let your all-powerful prince try to fight me. I’ll throw him into next week.”
Gwen: Mutual attraction and respect. Gwen trusts him because he never belittled her mortal status; she thinks his feelings will motivate his loyalty.
Loki: Tense; Loki distrusts Einarr’s arrogance and flirtatious nature—sees him as a potential rival and a political problem.
Twins: Einarr is willing to be their guardian/protector
Asgardian Court: Mixed reception—praised for battlefield skill, frowned upon for being brash and insufficiently courtly.
