THE AVENGERS OFFICE

EPISODE ONE: PILOT

COLD OPEN

INT- TOWER HALLWAY - DAY

Tony

"Here in the tower, I’m the boss. I mean, of course, I’m the boss; I built the tower. Well, Pepper did a lot of it but it was my name on it … until Loki and that whole invasion thing. Let’s start over. My tower, I’m the boss. So it’s only natural that you made me the focus of your documentary."

Tony leads the cameras down the hallway and starts to open a door.

Tony

"This is where the magic happens: my lab."

He shuts the door again before the cameras can get a peek.

Tony

”…and it is top secret, so stay out."

He spots Gwen walking past.

Tony

"Gwen!”

Gwen stops, and Tony quickly walks over to her and throws his arm around her shoulders.

Tony

“This is Gwen. She’s new-ish to the team. Fits right in. You’ll love her. Except, don’t get her started talking about plants or horror movies or food … Isn’t that right, Gwen?"

Gwen opens her mouth to argue, but Tony interrupts.

Tony

“Uh-uh, Gwen, not your documentary.”

Tony leaves her side and heads over to one of the big windows and poses.

Tony

“Get a shot over here. Inspiring right?”

The cameras turn to catch Gwen growing a vine over a portrait of Tony in the hall. She smirks at the camera and shrugs before walking off.

Tony

“Guys? Over here…”

ACT ONE

INT. - AVENGERS TOWER COMMON ROOM - DAY

Steve is reading a newspaper. Natasha is having a quiet conversation with Bruce. Thor is eating a snack and watching a nature documentary. Gwen is curled up on a chair reading a book but getting distracted by Thor and the documentary.

Tony enters.

Tony

Alright, team, listen up. SHIELD said that we hadn't turned in the report after our last mission. Whose turn was it to write the report?

They all look at each other. No one knows whose turn it was, or if they do, they won't admit that they forgot.

TONY TALKING HEAD

Tony

“I always write my reports, and by that I mean I have JARVIS do them.”

BRUCE TALKING HEAD

Bruce

“It might have been me. Was it?” (He thinks) “Maybe? No, I did it last time.”

NATASHA TALKING HEAD

Natasha

INT. AVENGERS TOWER COMMON ROOM - DAY

Back to the group in the common room.

Steve sets down his newspaper and stands up

Steve:

"I'll just write the report. It needs to get done."

Thor:

“Good man, Steve. I'm sure whoever forgot appreciates it.”

GWEN TALKING HEAD

Gwen

“Oops…”

INT. AVENGERS TOWER COMMON ROOM - DAY

The team gets back to their activities. Steve is on his way out to get paper and pen to write the report (he still doesn't know how to work a computer). JARVIS interrupts with an alert.

JARVIS (V.O.)

Avengers, there is a situation unfolding in midtown that needs your attention. Loki has been casting illusions of wild animals loose on the streets. There is a mild panic.

Tony

“Thor, sounds like this is a job for you, buddy.”

Thor

“My brother just can't help himself.”

Thor sets his pop tarts aside and stands with an amused shake of his head.

Thor

“Lady Guinevere, would you like to join me?”

Gwen

“Oh … um … sure. I can go.”

GWEN TALKING HEAD

Gwen

“I'm not going to say I'm happy to have to deal with this when I could be reading or in my greenhouse, but … I do get to see Loki, and that's always pretty entertaining. Not that I want to see Loki…”

EXT. CITY STREETS - DAY

Gwen and Thor arrive at the site of the disturbance. It's exactly what JARVIS described. Wild animals appear to be running loose. Cars are stopped; some have crashed into each other trying to avoid the animals. People are running or gawking.

Gwen

“Do you see him?”

Thor looks around and finally spots Loki on a rooftop.

Thor

“There.”

He wraps an arm around Gwen's waist.

Thor

“Hold on, Lady Gwen.”

Thor swings Mjolnir and they fly to the roof and land next to Loki. Thor sets Gwen down.

EXT. CITY STREETS - CONTINUOUS - DAY

Thor

“What nonsense is this, brother?”

Loki

“You don't like it? I thought you liked kangaroos.”

Loki notices Gwen.

Loki

“Ah, Gwen. I'm afraid your plants are of no use here.”

Gwen

“Loki. If you wanted to see animals, I could have taken you to the zoo. You only had to ask.”

She crosses her arms and smiles. She enjoys teasing him.

Loki smiles back but then notices the cameras.

Loki

“What is this?”

Gwen

“Documentary. They are filming us for a little while.”

Loki hears her answer but keeps looking at the camera.

Loki

“No, thank you. I don't want to be part of your little show.”

Loki flicks his wrist and disappears along with all the animals.

Gwen throws her hands up, amused, and looks at the camera.

Gwen

“If we had known that he'd be so afraid of the cameras, we would have had you follow us sooner.”

Gwen calls into SHIELD.

Gwen

“He’s gone. Just need to clean up here.”

INT. - TOWER CONFERENCE ROOM - DAY

Steve is in the conference room and has just put the final touches on the missing report and he tucks it into a manilla folder.

Tony pops his head into the room. Clint happens to be walking by. He stops when he sees Tony pop in to talk to Steve.

Tony:

“There you are, Cap. Don't worry about the report; I had JARVIS file it.”

Steve stands with an exasperated sigh.

TONY TALKING HEAD

Tony

“I knew he was writing the report. Was it a little mean? Sure, but maybe he'll start using the computer or at least JARVIS instead of this old-fashioned paper. I haven't touched paper in years.”

CLINT TALKING HEAD

Clint

(laughing)

“Yeah, Tony's pulled that on me too. I responded by ‘borrowing’ one of his tablets. Steve's not going to do anything about this, though.”

INT - TOWER HALLWAY - DAY

Cut to Natasha and Bruce inside the lab. The cameras stay out of the room. All we see is them through the window. Bruce is working and Natasha is watching him. They are having a conversation, and both are smiling, laughing. It seems nice.

Natasha looks up and sees the cameras, and her face goes flat/angry. She presses a button, and the shades close in the lab.

NATASHA TALKING HEAD

Natasha

INT - TOWER HALLWAY - DAY

Cameras then catch Loki strolling through the halls of the tower. He breaks a couple of things. He looks around but doesn't see the cameras, and he slips into the kitchen. He rearranges some things and steals Tony's espresso machine.

LOKI TALKING HEAD

Loki

“You saw what? No, you must be mistaken. I said I don't want to be a part of your program. (He pauses.) While we are here, though … don't tell Tony where I put his precious machine, or you will all find snakes in your beds later.

Gwen walks by, and Loki catches sight of her and jumps out of the chair.

Loki

“Excuse me.”

INT - TOWER HALLWAY - DAY

He takes a couple of quick steps to catch up to her. Cameras follow at a slight distance.

Loki

“Gwen, were you serious about taking me to the zoo?”

Gwen

(amused) “You want to go?”

Loki

“Ha! Of course not. I'm not a moronic mortal who enjoys gawking at caged animals.”

Gwen

“So why did you ask?”

Loki

“Just to tell you that. Next time you suggest we go somewhere, make it more interesting—like an underground lake in the heart of Vanaheim.”

Gwen

“Underground lake? You know I can't get to Vanaheim, right?”

Loki

“Right. Your mortal limitations … Perhaps I could take you there one day.”

Gwen gives him a knowing smile.

Gwen

“One day. I’d love to see a different realm. Unless this is a trick, and you are going to abandon me in Vanaheim for some reason?”

Loki

“I wouldn’t dream of it. Besides, Thor is fond of you, and he might follow through on all those threats to hurt me if I did anything to you.”

Gwen

“You wouldn’t do anything to me because you are afraid of Thor, not because you just don’t want to hurt me?”

Loki

“I am not afraid of Thor.”

Gwen

“Sounds like you are.”

Loki

“I'm not afraid, I'm just wary. There is a difference. (His tone gets quieter.) And you're right. You're my friend, so I won't abandon you in an unknown place. So when I take you to the Vanaheim lakes, you will be safe.”

Gwen

"When... not if."

GWEN TALKING HEAD

Gwen

(Flustered) Oh, Loki? No, he's not asking me out...No, that wasn't a date or talk about a date of any kind. It's just a trip to another realm with...Loki. Did he say it was a date?"

INT - TOWER HALLWAY - DAY

At that moment, Tony walks in and sees Loki flirting with Gwen. He rolls his eyes.

TONY TALKING HEAD

Tony

“Is he seriously flirting with Gwen? Loki is such a cliché. Flirting with the only single woman in the tower that he hasn't pissed off yet. I'm not worried. Gwen's smarter than that. (A mischievous smile creeps over his face.) But then again, he is rather charming—just not as charming as me.”

END ACT ONE

ACT TWO

INT. AVENGERS TOWER COMMON ROOM - DAY

In the common area lounge, Steve is trying his best to figure out the tablet in his hands. The cameras catch him poking at it and a little surprised when a stylus pops out of the side of it.

Clint enters.

Clint

"Ah, the old Stark pad. Trying it out, huh?"

Steve sets the pad down, looking a bit frustrated. He rubs his temple and sighs.

Steve

"Yeah, Tony thought I should give it a try. But I'm lost. These gadgets weren't even a dream when I was a kid."

Clint takes the tablet from Steve.

Clint

"Look, you can type here on the keyboard, you can use the stylus to write like you would on paper, or..."

He sets the tablet down.

Clint

"Hey JARVIS. Let's fill out a report to SHIELD."

Steve looks impressed.

Steve

"Just like that?"

JARVIS, the AI that runs all Stark tech, speaks up.

JARVIS v.o.

"Yes, Captain. I can assist you in filling out the report for SHIELD."

Clint smirks.

Clint

"See? All you have to do is ask."

Steve looks sheepish.

Steve

"I suppose I should have figured that out."

Clint chuckles.

Clint

"You're stuck in the old days, Cap. Time to step into the 21st century."

Clint pats Steve on the shoulder as he stands and leaves the room.

INT AVENGERS TOWER KITCHEN - DAY

The camera finds Natasha leaning against the kitchen counter talking to Bruce who is making tea. She is smiling but quickly stops when she sees the cameras.

NATASHA TALKING HEAD

Natasha

BRUCE TALKING HEAD

Bruce

"Natasha? She's just friendly. The entire team is, actually. I'm sure you are capturing some interesting footage.

I'd love to study it later. Do you think I could get a copy?"

INT. - AVENGERS TOWER COMMON ROOM - DAY

Back to the common area. Tony is working on his armor, still grumbling about Loki flirting with Gwen. He's just replaced his empty smoothie cup with a fresh one with his smoothie when Thor walks in.

Thor

"Stark, have you seen Loki?"

Tony looks up from the armor, a hint of annoyance on his face.

Tony

"Yeah, I saw him a while ago. He was talking to Gwen in the hallway."

Thor raises an eyebrow, looking a bit concerned.

Thor

"Loki was with Lady Gwen? That's unusual. What were they discussing?"

Tony shakes his head, dismissing Thor's concern.

Tony

"Relax, Point Break. It was just...a conversation. Loki probably just got bored and decided to annoy the new girl. You know how he is."

Tony

"I wouldn't worry about it. Come on, I've called a meeting. Everyone should be in the conference room."

INT - TOWER CONFERENCE ROOM - DAY

The team is sitting and chatting in the conference room when Tony and Thor enter. Thor takes a seat.

Tony

"Okay, team, I called this meeting because we need to talk about teamwork."

He casts a glance to the cameras as if to say, "Look, I am a great boss."

The others look up from their quiet conversations, turning their attention to Tony.

Steve

"Teamwork? I thought we were doing fine."

Natasha nods, folding her arms.

Natasha

"We've been working together well enough, Tony. What are you getting at?"

Tony holds up a hand, attempting to calm their concerns.

Tony

"I know, I know. We've been doing great. But I've noticed that we're not always on the same page."

Clint leans back in his chair, a little skeptical.

Clint

"Care to give an example?"

Tony

"Yes, I would. Thanks for asking. Teamwork... Yesterday, the dishes needed to be done, and since we all live here together, we need to work together. See? Teamwork is more than just on the field."

Tony looks smugly at the camera, thinking he is doing a great job with this meeting.

Gwen looks at the others, completely confused.

Clint rolls his eyes.

Clint

"Tony, are you seriously calling an Avengers meeting for dishes?"

Steve tries his best to stay diplomatic. He's still a little amused that Tony has called them here to talk about housework.

Steve

"Tony, this isn't exactly a life-or-death situation."

Tony

"Au contraire, my frozen friend. If we can't work together at home, how can we work together on missions? So, I propose some team-building exercises. First up, we organize the tools in my lab...as a team."

Thor

(has an idea to get out of the meeting)

"A wonderful idea, Stark. Unfortunately, I have a matter I must attend to...elsewhere."

Gwen

(catching on to Thor's escape)

"Yes, Thor, you asked for my help with that, didn't you?

Tony deflates a little as Thor stands up. He knows the big guy always manages to leave meetings when it suits him.

Tony

"Of course you do, Thor. Always leaving the dirty work to the rest of us."

Natasha chuckles and stands as well.

Natasha

"Count me out too. I have some errands to run."

Clint and Steve exchange a look, clearly amused by Tony's plan for team bonding.

Tony shrugs.

Tony

"Fine. I see. I'm the only team player here. Meeting over. Go do whatever you have to do."

Steve pats Tony on the back.

Steve

"It was an...interesting idea there, Tony. Perhaps next time, we can talk about missions?"

Tony nods, still a little frustrated. It looks like this attempted team-building exercise has been a bust.

Tony

"Yeah, sure. Mission talk. Great idea, Cap."

Clint and Steve exchange another smirk as they stand up to leave. The others follow suit, leaving Tony alone in the conference room with the cameras. He looks right into one of the cameras, clearly annoyed that his genius idea was foiled.

Tony brushes it off. He is clearly doing this for the cameras.

Tony

(to the camera)

"I am their fearless leader, and right now, they don't need to be led. I did that. I taught them independence and teamwork. A good leader does both."

CLINT TALKING HEAD

Clint

"Yeah...I don't know what that was."

GWEN TALKING HEAD

Gwen

I'm always up for team building and helping any of them if they need it, but that was weird. He's not usually like that..."

NATASHA TALKING HEAD

Natasha

INT - TOWER HALLWAY OUTSIDE TONY’S LAB  DAY

As the meeting room clears out, the cameras follow Tony back to his lab. He grumbles to himself, clearly not happy with how the meeting went. As he walks, he bumps into Bruce.

Tony:

"Hey, Banner, you didn't say anything in the meeting. What'd you think of my brilliant plan?"

Bruce smiles, clearly enjoying the fact that Tony's plan was a bust.

Bruce:

"I think you're a brilliant engineer, a genius in technology.

But maybe forget about team-building. We're doing just fine."

INT - TOWER HALLWAY OUTSIDE GREENHOUSE - DAY

The cameras catch Loki sneaking around once again. This time he is going into Gwen's greenhouse.

INT - TOWER HALLWAY - DAY

Gwen followed Thor out of the meeting. The two of them walk down the hall.

Thor

"Lady Guinevere, I heard you were talking to Loki earlier. You are aware of his reputation for trouble?"

Gwen

"Oh...nothing to worry about. It was just a normal conversation."

Thor raises an eyebrow, clearly not quite convinced.

Thor

"Loki is...difficult to deal with. He often has an ulterior motive or a trick up his sleeve."

Gwen chuckles. She's well aware of Loki's reputation. She actually finds it endearing.

Gwen

"I can handle Loki, Thor. Trust me."

THOR TALKING HEAD

Thor

"Guinevere is a sweet girl. I don't think she really understands what she is getting into with Loki. Once, he filled my pillowcase with spiders... That was last month."

(He pauses to address the crew directly.)

"You will tell me if you see anything unusual, yes?"

INT - TOWER GWEN'S GREENHOUSE - DAY

The cameras follow Loki into the greenhouse. He sneaks in and takes a moment to admire Gwen's plants.

He takes a closer look at the rare and exotic flowers, a hint of amazement on his face. Before he can take one, he catches sight of a camera focused on him. He rolls his eyes.

Loki

(to camera)

"Can't I do anything in the tower without being watched?"

Loki disappears in a glimmer of green and gold magic.

END ACT TWO

ACT THREE

INT. AVENGERS TOWER COMMON ROOM - DAY

Back to Steve poking at the tablet. Bruce stops by and looks over Steve's shoulder.

Bruce

"Looks like you are catching on."

There's a loud noise that sounds like a plane engine starting close by.

Bruce

"Oh. Wait. I think you just accessed the remote settings for the Quinjet."

He leans over trying to turn it off.

Steve

“I thought it was a game. A flight simulator.”

Bruce chuckles, clearly amused by how clueless Steve is with technology.

Bruce

"That was your first problem, Cap. You can't just start pushing buttons, especially not on Stark tech."

Bruce manages to turn off the remote settings for the Quinjet, and the engine noise stops.

Steve shakes his head, frustrated but still determined to understand the tablet.

Steve

"I'll get the hang of it. What's this one here?"

Bruce

"That one you can touch. That controls the lights and speakers in this room."

Steve hesitantly touches the button and the lights in the room dim, and soft jazz starts playing through the speakers.

Steve

"Huh... that's actually not bad."

He scrolls through a few more buttons and stops, a smile spreading across his face.

Steve

"Wait a minute, I think this controls the thermostat."

Sure enough, he's right. The thermostat adjusts to 70 degrees, and the temperature in the room immediately gets a little cooler.

Bruce

"That’s something, Cap."

Steve grins and continues exploring the tablet, his confidence growing.

INT. AVENGERS TOWER COMMON ROOM CORNER - DAY

Cameras catch Natasha working on something in the corner of the common room. They zoom in but can't tell what she is doing. It looks like fabric and some small device and a screwdriver. They quickly turn away.

INT - TOWER GYM - DAY

Loki is once again in the tower. This time in the gym using magic to change the numbers on the weights. He catches the cameras again.

LOKI TALKING HEAD

Loki

"If you insist on filming me, let me at least explain my side of things."

Producer says something to him we can't hear.

Loki

"The weights? I was simply motivating the team. They will think they are strong. It's good for them, really."

INT. AVENGERS TOWER COMMON ROOM - DAY

Back to Steve and Bruce, who are still in the common room. Steve is fiddling with the tablet again, and Bruce is watching.

Bruce

"What's next, Cap? You seem to be catching on quickly."

Steve

"Let's see..."

Steve scrolls through the tablet's features, trying to find something interesting. He stops when he sees a "Security Settings" option.

Steve

"What does this do?"

He taps it, activating the security camera feed.

They watch earlier security feed footage of Loki breaking things and in the kitchen. Then, the footage of him entering Gwen's greenhouse. They then see him in the gym. Bruce and Steve exchange an exasperated look.

THOR TALKING HEAD

Thor

"This whole thing with Gwen and Loki... I think I need to keep an eye on them. I just know he is up to something. A good guardian always remains unseen."

INT - TOWER HALLWAY - DAY

Gwen is on her way to Tony's lab to drop off a gadget that she needs him to fix. On her way down the hall, she walks past Thor hiding poorly behind a sculpture.

Gwen

"I can see you, Thor."

She keeps walking.

The camera turns to catch Clint holding a camera of his own and walking around, narrating to it. We follow him into the common room.

Clint

"They are going to thank me for this later. Who doesn't need extra footage?"

Clint walks by Steve and Bruce, still watching the security feed.

Clint

"What are you two doing?"

Bruce

"Steve is learning the tablet. He accidentally activated the Quinjet."

Clint looks impressed and a little bit surprised.

Clint

"Not bad, Cap. Not bad."

Clint continues walking around, filming everyone he comes across.

INSERT - CLINT'S FOOTAGE

He approaches Natasha, who is still working on her mystery project.

Natasha

"Not you too."

Clint

"No, this will be better, see? The real Avengers. The stuff their cameras won't get. What are you working on?"

Natasha

"You'll see."

Clint tries to move closer to see what Natasha is working on, but she blocks him.

Clint

"C'mon, Nat. You don't have to be so secretive. I just want to see what you're making."

Natasha:

"And I said you'll see when it's finished."

She shoots him a look that says "don't push your luck".

INT - TONY'S LAB - DAY

BACK TO ORIGINAL DOCUMENTARY FOOTAGE.

Gwen is chatting with Tony in his lab.

Gwen:

"Thanks for taking a look at this for me. I had it working for a little while, but I'm not good with any kind of tech or mechanical things."

Tony:

"It's just your run of the mill automatic timer for watering. Piece of cake, Gwennie."

She turns to go, but he speaks up again.

Tony

"While you are here, what did you think of the meeting earlier?"

Gwen

"I think you don't need to call meetings or try to show the cameras how you run things. We all know that this tower and this team don't work without you."

Tony tries not to look touched by her words.

Tony

"All right, get out of here, kid. I have work to do."

Gwen chuckles and heads for the door. Tony calls after her.

Tony

"Hey, Gwen?"

She turns around.

Tony

"Thanks for saying that."

INT. - TOWER HALLWAY - CONTINUOUS - DAY

Gwen smiles and leaves. As she walks out of the room, she catches sight of Clint filming her with his camera. She raises an eyebrow.

INSERT - CLINT’S FOOTAGE

Gwen

"Really, Clint?"

Before he can answer, she catches Thor watching her again. He is leaning against the wall, holding a book upside down. She sighs and laughs.

Gwen

"Thor..."

Clint

"Do you know what Natasha was up to? She's not usually one for tinkering."

Gwen

"Haven't seen her since the meeting."

Clint shrugs and continues to film. Tony steps out of his lab and sees Clint.

Tony

"What are you doing?"

Clint

"I'm documenting the daily lives of the Avengers. You know, behind the scenes. The stuff fans want to see."

Tony

"You seriously think your footage is going to be better than the professional cameras?"

Clint

"Of course. They're going to be begging for this later. Wait and see."

INT. AVENGERS TOWER COMMON ROOM - DAY

BACK TO DOC FOOTAGE

The actual cameras catch up to Natasha and Bruce again. They are clearly in a friendly conversation that we can't hear. (Natasha refuses to wear a mic pack). Her clothes are projecting some sort of glitchy effects. She has altered some piece of Stark stealth tech to obscure the camera's shots of her. She looks over and smirks, knowing she managed to sabotage their footage a little.

INT - TOWER HALLWAY - DAY

INSERT - CLINT’S FOOTAGE

Clint approaches Thor, still filming.

Clint

"Hey big guy, what are you up to?"

Thor holds up his book, still upside down.

Thor

"I am merely educating myself on Midgardian culture and customs."

Clint

"You know the book is upside down, right?"

Thor looks down, and his face flushes.

Thor

"It's Gwen and Loki. I think he is up to something. You haven't seen anything?"

Clint

"I didn't even know Loki was in the building. Nope, bud. I've only seen Gwen being Gwen and you being weird."

Thor gives Clint a disapproving look.

Thor

"I am not weird. I just-"

Clint grins and pats him on the back.

Clint

"I'm just teasing, big guy."

INT. TOWER GREENHOUSE - DAY

BACK TO DOC FOOTAGE

Gwen is about to step into her greenhouse when Loki appears seemingly out of nowhere.

Gwen

"I thought you were avoiding the documentary."

Loki

"They have grown on me. I've decided to let the mortals tell their stories about me. I can be famous on Midgard and on your television and internet."

Gwen

"Um, Loki, you are already pretty famous on the internet... and believe me, you don't want to see or read some of that stuff."

Loki

"What kind of stuff?"

Gwen

"Let's just say you have a very dedicated fan base."

Loki gets that glint in his eye that means trouble.

Loki

"So there are many mortals that admire me." (He smirks a bit.)

"You'll have to show me someday."

Gwen sighs, knowing that's probably not the best idea, but also knowing that saying no to Loki is difficult.

Gwen

"We'll see."

Gwen finally steps into her greenhouse. She finds a glowing potted plant with a bow on her desk.

There is a card attached with her name in elegant script and a small gold stamp of Loki's helmet. She turns back to Loki to find that he is gone.

Gwen picks up the plant and opens the attached card. She doesn't reveal what is written, but she smiles.

Loki is outside the greenhouse watching through the windows. He wears a small, satisfied smirk, clearly pleased with himself.

FINAL TALKING HEADS

Steve

"I managed to learn how to work the tablet. I can fill out reports, control lights, and even start the Quinjet. I also filled out the entire week's schedule for the entire team. This gadget isn't so bad."

Natasha

Thor

“I’m still keeping an eye on Gwen and Loki. But I think perhaps I have misjudged my brother. Maybe he is capable of … friendship.”

He brightens suddenly, leaning toward the camera.

Thor

“You will of course include my stories in your next documentary? I have many more tales of glory — some of which even happened.”

Clint

“You’ll use my footage, right? Eh, you’ll use it. It’s gold.”

Clint takes off his mic pack and stands.

Clint

“I’m keeping this. Thanks, guys.”

Bruce

“I’m sure it was fascinating seeing the Avengers in their natural habitat. I’m curious to see what you picked up. I could make some notes and compare the team that I know and what they showed you during the documentary.”

Tony

“That’s it. That’s the team. Good people. You should think about doing another documentary. A spin off. Less them, more me.

Loki

“Gwen told me what you mortals say about me on your ‘internet.’ I am flattered. Truly. Your adoration is … inspiring. Perhaps filming me wasn’t such a dreadful idea after all. We shall give Midgard what it desires most.”

He leans forward, lowering his voice with a sly grin.

Loki

“More of me.”

A dramatic pause. He flicks his fingers and vanishes in a shimmer of green light, leaving his mic pack clattering to the chair.

Gwen sits with the glowing plant on her lap, smiling at it.

Gwen

“I don’t know what Thor was so concerned about. Loki isn’t all bad. He left me this Asgardian plant and a note on how to take care of it. Apparently, Asgardian plants need body warmth to grow, so I’m supposed to keep it with me. The more it glows, the healthier it is.”

A producer says something off-camera. Gwen pauses, frowns slightly.

Gwen

“Glow-in-the-dark paint?!”

She bursts out laughing, stands, and sets the plant on the chair while quickly leaving the room.

Gwen

“Loki!”

The camera lingers on the glowing plant. After a moment, it flickers a little brighter, as if laughing too. Smash cut to credits.

END OF SHOW
